Birmingham’s first festival celebrating the artistic talent of the city’s children and young people, aged 0-24 years. Over ten days from 21-31 October 2010, you can experience and take part in a huge range of exhibitions, workshops, talks and events across the city centre and in local neighbourhoods.

Dan Warrilow winner of the People’s Choice Award

It gives the Visualise team great pleasure to announce that the winner of the People's Choice Award goes to Dan Warrilow, for his Older Generation drawing.  It was a close run thing, with Dan receiving 393 votes with the person in second place just 2 points behind.  Dan will receive a £50 shopping voucher - CONGRATULATIONS!

 

People’s Choice - YOUR CHANCE TO VOTE!

Hey, 

Since the festival began, visitors to the Visualise website have been invited to vote for their favourite short-listed artwork, exhibited in the HUB space/s in the Pavilions Shopping Centre.  There are now only 2 days left to cast your vote, with the competition ending at 5.00pm on Sunday 31 October.  The winning artist will receive a £50 shopping voucher, so please VOTE NOW!

Hiya

Here are some gorgeous pictures of Reeka's growing work of art. Stacks of young people joined in today.

 

I also had the pleasure of going to the Gallery 37 talk at BIAD with photographer Phil Brooks and Davina (Gallery 37 apprentice) - they talked to us all about what they did during Gallery 37 this year. You can still see the Gallery 37 work along with some work from IKON Youth Programme at BIAD, Gosta Green Campus until Wednesday afternoon (3rd November)
